Police Executive Director, FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association

Job Description

The FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (“FBI – LEEDA, Inc.”) is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of the Executive Director. Applications are being accepted, with preference for candidates who have been Chiefs of Police, Sheriffs, senior law enforcement executives, or Federal law enforcement officials (GS15 or higher) preferably with 10 years executive experience, and who are preferably graduates of the LEEDS program, FBI National Academy, or FBI National Executive Institute.

Negotiable Salary based on qualifications, and experience. Benefits and relocation are negotiable.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and executing the directives and policies of the Executive Board.
  • Acting as liaison between the Executive Board and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as all other law enforcement associations
  • Conducting the business of the Association according to established policies and procedures
  • Traveling extensively, predominantly in the United States
  • Ability to re-locate within a reasonable proximity to the FBI – LEEDA office in Malvern Pennsylvania

Minimum Qualifications

  • Has been a member of the Law Enforcement Command staff (Captain or Above)
  • Has a bachelor’s degree
  • Has a master’s degree
  • Is a graduate of LEEDS, NA, or other recognized executive level training
  • Has ten (10) years or more executive experience
  • Has experience in corporate operations, non-profit experience preferred
  • Any other experience or information that would be pertinent to the position of Executive Director.

  • Ability to work proficiently with both the law enforcement and the corporate communities
  • Demonstrated exceptional social and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in team environment and human resources
  • Successful financial management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects and activities
  • Proficiency in the development and delivery of law enforcement training at the executive level
  • Working knowledge of distance learning programs
