This non-union managerial position assists the Fire Chief in leading, developing managing, administering, supervising, directing and providing the community, residents and others with effective and efficient Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services according to all applicable laws and current professional standards and practices. S/he accomplishes these services through the deployment of resources, overseeing fire, rescue, fire marshal and emergency medical operations of career and volunteer staff according to departmental policies, procedures and other authorized practices.
The ideal candidate will have had 10 plus years successful managerial/supervisory experience as a Fire Captain or higher managerial level position in a Fire and EMS Department of 25 or more persons. S/He must have demonstrated the skills, knowledge and experience to continue to enhance the successful operation of the Town of Branford Fire Department personnel and services for the community.
