Fire Full Time, Deputy Fire Chief of Administration Town of North Haven
Job Description
The Town of North Haven is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Fire Chief of Administration.
The Deputy Fire Chief of Administration is responsible for the overall administrative support to the Fire Chief/Fire Marshal in directing the administrative functions of the Fire Department including, but not limited to, emergency management, community risk reduction and fire inspection/prevention code enforcement as applicable. The Deputy Chief of Administration is required to perform all similar or related duties.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with five to seven (5-7) years related work experience with a minimum of (three) 3 years in a supervisory or command level within a career fire department.
- In addition to Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor I, EMT-B certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree related to emergency services and/or public administration
- Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II and Executive Fire Officer
Salary: $125,425 annually not inclusive of stipends and other benefits based upon qualifications, plus an excellent fringe benefits package.
This position is a 40hr/wk M-F schedule. This position also requires some periods of time being the on-call Chief Officer after hours.
