Fire Part Time, On Call Fire Fighter
Job Description
The Dunstable Fire Department is looking for interested candidates for the position of Call Firefighter. This is a pre-application questionnaire for the Dunstable Fire Department Call Firefighter position. The position of On Call Firefighter requires many hours of training to meet basic firefighting and emergency medical responder requirements. Active participation in emergency response is also expected. A strong commitment to reaching training and certification goals is a must.
Qualifications for a call firefighter for the Town of Dunstable are as follows:
- Between the age of 18 and 65
- Education: A high school diploma or the equivalent is required
- Drivers License: Must have a valid driver’s license
- Residency: Must live within Dunstable or a reasonable distance from the border as determined by the Fire Chief
- Successfully pass a medical, physical, criminal, and driving background check
Required items for Call Fire Fighter:
- The department will assist with obtaining these items to be a certified firefighter:
- MA Fire Academy Firefighter I & II
- CPR / AED before being able to respond to any incidents
- 1st Responder within 1st year of hire
- NFPA Physical – Completed before hire
- Respiratory Fit Testing
- MA Fire Department Physical Ability Test (PAT) PAT Test Info
