Job Description
OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Chief Dana Kelley is pleased to announce that the Old Orchard Beach Police Department is accepting applications for seasonal police officers for the summer.
The department takes pride in the Reserve Officer program. This opportunity provides experience to those career minded individuals to gain experience, prepare for their future in a fast paced environment. The program seeks the highest quality individual to fill these positions and focuses on professional development performance.
Open to residents from any town, the Reserve Officer Program is a great way to gain real-world experience and job training in the field.

Applicants Must:
- An applicant must be 21 years of age, no college credits required. An applicant can be 20 years of age but
must have an associate’s degree or 60 college credits - PT Test (physical agility) passing is required.
- Alert Test passing score required.
- A valid driver’s license is required
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The Law enforcement Pre-service School (LEPS) is not required but preferred. If hired, we will sponsor your
enrollment into this training course (Phase I, Phase II and Phase III
Tests are a statewide mandatory requirement for all law officers. Old Orchard Beach Police Department will be offering testing during the hiring process. While the department offers these tests, applicants also may contact the Criminal Justice Academy at 207-877-8000 for additional testing dates.
The Law Enforcement Pre-service School (LEPS) three-phase training course is not required, but is preferred. If hired, the department will sponsor enrollment into the course
