Firefighter/Paramedic

The Firefighter/Paramedic plays a critical role in emergency response, providing both firefighting and advanced life support services. This position requires a dedicated individual who is prepared to respond to emergencies, protect lives, and ensure the safety of the community. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in emergency medical care, firefighting techniques, and effective communication.

Brewster Fire is recruiting to fill a Firefighter- Paramedic position. We are looking for highly motivated candidates who want to make a difference in the community. Applicants must possess Massachusetts Paramedic certification prior to hire or be able to obtain this certification within six months of employment, hold a valid driver’s license, be 18 years of age or older, and possess a HS diploma or equivalent (GED). Preference may be given to applicants with Firefighter I/II Pro-Board or equivalent certification. Candidates shall successfully pass the MA Physical Agility Test, background check, and a medical exam prior to hire.

This is a full-time position covered under the Fire union agreement, with a starting annual base salary for paramedics of $66,931.00 – $69,106.00, starting pay dependent on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits package including paid time off, health insurance, and pension benefits.
