Chief of Police - Spencer, MA

The Town of Spencer seeks candidates for the position of Chief of Police. This position reports to the Town Administrator and is responsible for supervisory, administrative, statutory, and other duties of the Police Department. Work is performed in accordance with departmental policies, goals, and objectives. Successful candidates will have a master’s degree in criminal justice or related field and from ten to fifteen years of law enforcement experience, including five years as a sergeant or above, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; plus, a Mass Driver’s License, Mass Firearms License, MPTC Academy for Fulltime Police Officers or equivalent; Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission – POST Certification. Salary $155,000- $165,000 per year DOQ.
