Job Description

West Valley City Police Department is currently seeking lateral transfers to fill police officer positions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICATION:

• Graduation from high school or possession of GED certificate.
• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have successfully passed the NPOST (National Police Officer Standard Test).
• The position requires completion of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; or A lawful permanent resident of the United States who has been in the United States legally for the five years immediately before the day on which the application is made; and has legal authorization to work in the United States.

This position is for those that are currently certified as a Law Enforcement Officer and have Police Officer experience with a state or local law enforcement agency or department. This may include those that have worked as an Agent with AP&P in a position that requires LEO certification.
